My thoughts on the Web in its version 2.0

The Web is changing
We need to realize that with AJAX becoming main-stream, the entire Web Application space has split into two separate divisions.

1. The traditional web-sites based on the Page Model.
2. The dynamic 'rich' applications which mimic the Desktop/Event Model

This blog highlights the steps to be taken to choose the path that people need to take to:

1. Choose from the above two models that the site/application will predominantly use.
2. The steps to be taken to develop the application in a systematic way depending upon the choice made

I now draw inspiration from the video/tutorial by Matt Sweeney, a senior engineer at Yahoo! and his motivation to "Getting it (the web applications) right the second time" to come up with my bundle of ideas, some of them my own and others gathered from the wisdom of others like me.
